Can this be oil right where the boot connects? It’s dry and truck only has 7k miles. Whole cv is dry and doesn’t feel or have oily texture. Feels more like dirt, but the color is suspicious and looks like oil color wise.

There is grease in the boot.
The oil can separate from the grease a bit and leech out.
It usually stops and doesn’t progress any further.

I don’t see any thing too concerning.
    I’d run it.

I suppose you could have the dealership look at it.
But I don’t see them doing much about it.
Not unless they are hurting for business and can somehow get corporate to warranty it.

Unless there is black grease or a visible tear, I don’t see them doing much.

Again, I don’t see any thing to worry about.

Perfect thanks for the replies. Had a Jeep before the Tacoma that was a nightmare, so keeping an extra eye on this one just in case.

That’s pretty much normal. I would have absolutely no concerns until I can wipe a grease booger off.

you will always have a slight bit of seepage. The boot and clamp is not a completely perfect seal.
