I'm having a fun day finding all the things I havent seem due to my skids blocking most of my view of the undercarriage. Saw some oil around the base of the transmission, worth worrying about? Could the source be elsewhere, like grease from my driveshaft? 20190126_115209.jpg

Does not seem to be dripping. Could just be grease slinging from drive shaft. Or could be residual oil that sits on your skid and the turbulence flings oil everywhere. I would pressure wash it off and monitor it

If the oil is coming from behind that plastic access hatch, I think thats your rear main seal, in which case welcome to the club.

Pop the plug out and you will be able to see ( with a flashlight ) if it is the rear seal or not.

    Ta-da!

    minor tweaks
Mine was doing the same thing, turned out to be the front transfer case seal, had the dealer do the repair and had them replace the rear tranny seal at the same time.

I'm trying to figure out what's above that plastic cover in my picture, popped it off and I can see a couple bolts up there

Your fly wheel and torque converter are up there. That cover allows the bolts to be removed. Have you gotten the trans hot ? Doing this will dry the front seal out over time causing a leak.

Then don't fix it until it leaks so badly that it causes a significant oil loss.
It might NEVER leak badly enough to be worth fixing.
It WILL NOT suddenly go from slight seep to pouring out.

Those are the rear oil pan bolts

Mine has the same amount of "sweating" from the rear main.. just monitor it, no need to hit the panic button yet
