Sure thing, this was a test from about 2 months ago and as you'll read from the comments (which I love) they give a breakdown and let me know that I should be fine increasing the OCI from 5K to about 7K. This is what my analytical mind likes in the quantitative over qualitative where people are making decisions based on the color of the oil when it comes out or what their great great grandfather did with their Model T during the great depression. The increased OCI comfort zone helps and gives me some play to save money or do oil when it works better with my schedule and can in theory offset the cost of running the testing. I also run blackstone on my 2004 V8 4Runner that doesn't drop any oil.

Just posted my test results in the comments for Amsoil Signature Series and you can have a gander. The signature series says up to 20k miles but that's too much for my taste.

They have three other options for the same weights at different price points. Still cheaper for me than paying someone else to do it with lower quality oil.

Thanks for posting. Only thing I don't like about Amsoil is having to pay the subscription price (even though it is only $16!) to get the good deal. I have tried to buy oil from different vendors, Wal Mart, etc. But it does look like the Iron (bearings) number is low. Much lower than mine, though it could be because of break in and a slightly longer 7500 mile interval. Notice the sky-high moly on the factory fill-must be a break-in additive.

That looks very strong. Yeah I don’t plan on running it over 5k miles possibly 7.5k max per interval. I’ll share my analysis with 0w30 sig series when I get it done as well. Appreciate you sharing

I used Mobile 1 for the 1st 180,000 miles and changed at 10,000 miles or 6 months whichever came 1st. Seriously, with today's engines and oils 10,000-mile oil changes are already conservative. I'm more worried about time than miles.

I've been using Costco oil since then; it is the same oil as Walmart Supertech. It's about the same price at either place. When I started buying it, I paid $25 for two 5-quart bottles. It's up to about $38 for 2 bottles now. I use Fram filters from Walmart.

I'm over 240,000 miles now and it still runs like new. I don't put as many miles on the old girl anymore, so I just change every 6 months and don't worry about miles. It's around 6,000-7,000. I've never added oil between oil changes.

Depends on how much you buy. With multiple vehicles and buying gear oil and other things in addition to the motor oil I have the free subscription, plus the free shipping helps offset too.

I have ran Mobil1 EP but decided to run the Toyota oil. The Toyota oil was a bit on the pricey side and might move back to Mobil1 EP next time around.

That stuff is engineered for high horsepower turbo, or supercharged engines. Total overkill for a piddly 3.5 taco, but if you're into wasting money, its good for the economy.

Heck even the toyota dealer here doesn't use toyota oil...they have 55 gal drums of mobil1 extended. They still sell toyota oil in their parts dept for those that only what oil with that name on it.

I no longer need to change my oil ever again because I added Slick 50 with CERFLON!

Up until then, I used Havoline Smart Change 6 quart boxes 0-20, mainly because they have 6 quarts in there, and it’s cheap.

I used to change it every 3,000 miles because LubePros told me to.

The Toyota oil supposedly has a good amount of moly in it.

Although that is a benefit that's not the sole intended use for the oil.
