Milk shake. I have a buddy in NY that has a CC on his gas GM HD truck. It's amazing how much milk shake he gets out every 2-3k miles.

I've had mine on for about 4 years and is checked every 5k oil change. After seeing what DID NOT GO INTO my engine. I'll keep it.

I don’t wanna hate on you, but it doesn’t sound like you have very much mechanical experience if this is what you think. No matter what combustion engine you have, you’re ALWAYS going to get build up. Some motors more than others. Some motors faster than other. If you truly want your Tacoma to keep running well, and running well for a very long time, there are very very cheap maintenance/mods that you can do that aren’t necessary, but WILL in FACT prolong the life and health of your engine. Cleaning your valves AT LEAST every 50k miles with a good intake valve cleaner literally costs 15$, takes 10 minutes, and makes a MASSIVE difference on the longevity and performance of your Tacoma. ESPECIALLY if you live in a state like California with lots of garbage quality fuel.

Oil AND fuel leave deposits on your valves and in your combustion chamber. Port injection WILL NOT PREVENT BUILDUP. It only makes the buildup take longer. If you’re running cheap fuel all the time, you’ll get even more buildup even faster. Like I said multiple times, an oil catch can is far from necessary, BUT it has NO CONS, and only benefits. If you want to help keep your engine cleaner and running more efficiently for longer, for less than a tank of gas, slap on an oil catch can. I’m not saying you’re going to gain horsepower. But it will keep your engine cleaner, which directly causes more efficiency, performance, and longevity of your engine.

Even if the effect is small, why not? It’s not necessary, just like it’s not necessary to ceramic coat your car, or install floor mats/ seat covers. But it has only benefits and it’s one of the cheapest and easiest mods to install.

Ive got a pretty good idea what exactly is happening in an ICE.

Can you provide the source of said "facts" that a oil catch can and "cleaning your valves at least 50K miles will make a massive difference".

    Genuinely curious.

    Maybe Scotty Kilmer.. lol

Step behind the wheel of a high two mileage 3rd gens, one with and one without, and tell me if you can tell the difference from behind the driver's wheel.

I challenge anyone to tell me which one's which...
