Once ToyotaCare is over then the dealer is not going to see me again unless I have a warranty issue. I just don’t trust them plus I had enough of the high pressure sales crap.

You don't say in the original post, did you wait on it? If you dropped it off, then the dealer is going to put it on the back burner, appt or not, and get the customers that are in the waiting room in and out. If YOU ARE waiting, I would have started bitching after 2 hours. Most I've ever waited for an oil change is hour and half, usually only about an hour.

You'll get a survey, knock them down on it; they hate that. But they might also "ask" you to go elsewhere on your next visit (That happened to a buddy).

Yes, what drains from the FILTER does not fill a beer can.
I pick up the oil and filter on the way home, so no skin off my teeth.
I have a 5 gallon catch can, when it gets near full, I take it to work and dump it on the way home at the same parts store.
I'm competent to check my other fluids. What fluids are you not capable of checking that the lowest level Toyota tech is?
My dog is well mannered/trained/not tarded enough to do that. Sorry yours isn't. PetCo offers training.
    ... Seriously? :smack:
Ok then. My garage is attached to the home that I (not the bank) own, that may be a foreign concept to trailer park boys like yourself that cycle landlords 3-5 times a year depending on who isn't in rehab or jail. Again.
My wife, again, you may find this weird, is not in my bloodline at all. Shocking, right? You can actually have sex outside of your gene pool. Try it sometime. It's pretty great.
Again, I find myself a competent human being and have no problem identifying the proper weight and quantity.

Obviously a simple oil change is beyond your capabilities. I can understand how it could be difficult. Keep taking yours to the dealer for things others are capable of not fucking up like, checking fluids, oil changes, drive through car washes, etc.

    Yea...
Must be a third gen thing, second gens wouldn't understand

Just don’t get them from the dispenser in a bmw waiting room; they’re noted for leaking oil and word has it, they get their products from the same supplier.

Is it a regional thing? My dealer acts like anything less than a 100% score earns them 10 lashes with a salted whip.

They even send videos of the work progress.

    Agree...
I think it has a lot to do with the competition and the area. We live in a ‘ red neck” area and any bad dealings with an auto dealership spreads like wild fire. Tacoma’s are real big sellers in the sport crowd here and Toyota’s dealership bends over backwards to keep it.

The weather can get really bad and isolating; a dependable truck and dealership is really important. There is strong area competition for maintenance from independence too, their prices are surprisingly not that far apart. The boss I worked for tried them all as a contractor and I for my private vehicles.

Oh yeah very dependant on region. Some dealers who are the only one in the area (usually small towns are either really really good or they know that you have no choice but to go to them so they treat you like garbage.) I have 3 dealers within a 20 mile radius so they are all grappling for business and 5 star reviews.
