I drive an '04 Prerunner quad with the V6. So, I get an oil change at one of those quickie lube joints with a coupon for $16.99. Since the coupon only covered up to 5 quarts and my oil pan holds a half quart more than that, my final bill was $44 something. I know there're environmental fees and such, but an additional $27 for that last half quart of oil? I typically change the oil myself, but when I saw the coupon I thought to myself, man, that's cheaper than doing this myself. Wrong! Does anyone know of any place that doesn't take an arm and a leg for an extra half quart of oil? Or better yet, just put in the 5 quarts cuz I can put in the rest myself with a $4 quart of oil???

bring your own quart of oil, I've done it before. This was for my first 2 oil changes on my tacoma. After that I gave up on the fast lube places when they tore up the fender protection and refused to replace it.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Always change it yourself, that way you know it's done right. I don't trust anyone working on my truck though!

look at the receipt and see the breakdown. I would take it back and bitch at them for the stupid price. see if they'll give you a free one and then give it to someone you don't like very much ;p
