Oil change intervals when out of warranty and not driving?

    I'm averaging about 5k to 6k miles per year, I just change yearly.

    Actually on the atv, and sxs, the oil should be changed quite often as they do not hold as much oil as some cars, or a truck, plus they work a lot harder when off-road.

    I drove 3,000 miles in 16 months and the oil (Shell Rotella Gas Truck) was fine. The notion that you must change low mileage high quality GF-6A full synthetic oil at the year mark is a myth.
