I'm scheduled for oil change on Wednesday. But yesterday this additional light appeared, so now there are 2.

Am I ok to wait until Wednesday to have this checked?
    Please advise,

    Laurie

What is the actual caution message if you scroll to that tab?

I had that light a few weeks ago and I was told it was for a tire rotation.

Ha ha, I didn't realize I could scroll to get the caution message. It is tire pressure.

Thank you for teaching me something new.

Could even be a simple door not fully latched warning, but usually you'd see the picture of the door thats not fully closed on your dash screen.

You can scroll left-right to different tabs and up-down to see more info in each tab. One tab should have the tire pressures if I remember correctly; might be accessible in the stereo display instead depending on year of your truck.

Check tire pressures either with a tire gauge or through the display. That'll make sure your truck is safe to drive.

If you can see tire pressures in the display but for example, one out of the four isn't registering a reading, then that TPMS sensor in the wheel might have a dead battery - 7 years is about average for sensor battery life.

Glad it was a simple item! Although.... I did have my hopes up that this was a combined Friday and oil change frequency / methodology dumpster fire thread for some humorous end-of-week reading! LOL

There is also a generic timer right in the center cluster which you can get to in the the tabs using the steering wheel controls. That is in addition to whatever you have setup in the stereo. I don’t know the frequency or if you can change it.

    Wait
Wait, it was for tire pressure? And no TPMS indicator is on? Do you have a base model or something? Does yours show actual tire pressure? If so, you might have an issue with the TPMS. But if it reset I guess all is good.

If I recall when u are past the mileage and time for oil change it will eventually show up on both screens . The middle one and the one on the right .it’s redundant it’s a way to remind you of the oil change .the tire one has little wavy lines under it u have a triangle .the wavy one is on the left side .

ok so you have a TPMS - tire pressure monitor system. What exactly did you do to make the exclamation point go away?

I have not gotten rid of it yet.
I'm sure I can search and find out how to do this.

Go to the Settings tab in the center cluster using the left/right on the digital pad on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Press down until Settings is found and press the center button on the pad. Again use the down button and find Maintenance Reset and press the center button again to reset the timer. Exclamation point will disappear.

I keep a cheap code reader in the console. I’ve been in the middle on cross country road trips and had the check engine light panic hit me. Plug the reader in and know right away if you really have a problem. It has saved me 2 inconvenient trips to a shop on vacations.
