    Live and learn, the only way you're gonna get to know your truck is work on the damn thing! And its fun to do! Sucks when mishaps happen but you can count on TW to be there for ya, and laugh with you....or at you :D:D, and then help you!

    But its always good to check things out first and get an idea about things before you dive into something you've never done! ;) (spoken from experience)

    As a side note: Had you really drained your rear differential oil... it would have been madly funny... still... very sorry.

    Logical-Yes. On point- Not really. Not to mention that the dealership won't give you synth for free usually. So it's really a personal choice even if it is free.

    Lesson learned is right.

    I caught what spilled out (went into oil pan, thus could not reuse it), thus was able to refill it. Of course that meant a trip to buy the AT fluid from the Toyota dealership and a trip to the auto store to buy a 24mm socket.

    AKA - Saturday wasted.

    Learn from your mistakes is right, thanks boys!

    I wasn't trying to be rude. I simply saying that you should probably know what you're doing when you messing around with you $25k purchase. If you drained your transmission and added 5 qts. of oil to the motor, then you could cause some serious damage to your vehicle. You can interpret my post anyway you like, but I wasn't being rude. Sorry if I come off blunt...but I don't sugarcoat things.
