    my neighbor has a 1999 harley davidson 883 sportster........and im about to change the oil and plugs for him. i honestly dont know too much about bikes.........so im asking for anyone who has one......is 5w40 4 cycle synthetic ok to run in it? i have 7 quarts of some real good stuff, but i wanna make sure it will be ok in his bike. appreciate the help.

    Go on ebay and buy a Clymer manual for the bike. I have one for each of my bikes. Best out there.

    too late for that..........this was posted on saturday....and done on saturday.:D the 5w40 should be ok tho...and he has driven it a few times since....so far so good anyway.
