ok so im a porter at a dealership. trying to move up to lube tech.

    boss askes me....
what are the two most important things to do during an oil change.

    i said. drain and fill.
    tighten drain plug and filter

none of these seem to be right for him.

so give me your best shot please.

Not drain the tranny instead of the oil and then put the tranny coolant into the radiator cuz you matched the colors :D :D

I would say make sure the filter and drain plug are tight and the oil is not under/over filled

I agree with Chris...my boyfriend works in a dealership, I've heard some stories of vehs 'falling' off the lifts. Those 2 things ^^ are very important.

I also think your boss was looking for the not so obvious answer, which is the one you gave.
