It seems you are very well versed on many things. That’s awesome. All seriousness too.

I just assumed you would have been able to open the hood and assess the situation and figure out what you need to do to do the correct change.

not insulting at all so please don’t take it that way. It’s better to be safe than sorry by asking first.

now the real question. Mobile 1 and 5k or 10k oci lol

We have to be being trolled. No way an ASE mechanic would not be able to slide under a truck and not know exactly what to do just through observation. No way at all unless this is a troll bridge.

Amsoil 5k or whatever sludge I drained out the last time. ;)

Yes I have been around a while and done a few things. It comes with age. I was lucky to get to do many of the things I did.
Have a fantastic day and stay safe. The zombie apocalypse is nigh.

Certainly I could have. So could anyone who has changed oil at least once.
HOWEVER I didn't want to. I wanted to ask you so you could give me an answer.
PLUS I couldn't find the thread and knew there had to be one and I wanted to read it.

Maybe when you all get old enough you will learn to ask first before jumping into a project. It not only saves time but I don't have to get dirty by crawling under it to get my answer.
Besides what would you do if you didn't have someone to reply to on here?

There's a difference between "I've never looked and I don't care to look please just tell me everything I need to know" and "Hey I had a look under there and saw X, Y and Z. I think I need to BLANK and BLANK, is that a good approach?"

The thing that strikes me as odd, is the OP's unwillingness to be under the truck. I laid under my truck on the car lot and looked everything over before I even agreed to buy it. I realize it's Portland where it rains just slightly less than Seattle, but still.

I've even crawled under my truck to see something that someone on TW is asking about, to see what it looks like on my truck, for the sole purpose of helping out a fellow TW brother.

The only real question that needs to be asked on oil changes is Torque Specs for drain plug... prevent a lot of Nut Certs and shit

Wow what a bunch of Nanci's on here.
Can't even ask where a thread is without nuts coming out of the woodwork to ask why.
I guess you are all just having a hard time being cooped up in your houses that you can't even respond properly when asked a question.
Well it's none of your damn business why. The reason why is because I asked.

To the people who answered the question thanks. To the rest of you wankers piss off.
    Over and out.

Not mad at all just can't believe all the self indulging idiots on here who think they know something.
They are just stroking their dicks to make themselves feel good. That's just mental masturbation boys.
