Yeah, you can’t straighten that out 1.3 minutes like a typical oil change takes..

My neighbor came over a few weeks ago. He wanted to know if I had a compressor. He said his car tires needed air, that he screwed up. It was 20 degrees so I let him borrow my “portable”,and went back inside. It’s got a 3 gallon tank, 110 volts and weighs a bit. Regardless, 30-45 minutes passed, I haven’t heard anything back (how long does it take to inflate a tire). I went out and next door to check. He was still attempting to “inflating“ a tire, spewing air everywhere.

There are people who can’t inflate a tire.

Hesitant to bump this dumpster fire but I just did the first change since owning a 2015 and had a feeling that there was a better way to change the filter than filling up the scupper and a few rags with oil. The following posts seem to confirm this but I can't find any info about a technique or some idea to help with that. Maybe making my own drain hole?

Good thing the rubber cap was on the drain tube or you would have made a huge mess.

Don't worry about the dumpster fire some people just like to hear themselves talk.
Should be a rubber cap on a drain hole on the underside of the cup that the filter sits in.

Excellent. The scupper on my engine is about half that size and the oil filter adapter look a bit different but I imagine the drain is there somewhere and I just overlooked it. Thanks!
