You’re right, I am completely wrong.
You win, have a great evening.
    Goodbye.

Weird way to act when someone mans up and admits they’re wrong.

In all my cars I warm up my vehicle before draining the oil, drain it, install the new filter and add the oil with just slightly less then what the manual says, start the vehicle and let it run a minute to fill the new oil filter, after turning it if off I just wait a minute or two to let the oil get back to the pan, then check and add a little more oil if needed to get it to the upper mark on the dipstick

Well, I've been doing it 45 years. I agree I'm wrong according to the manual but I just feel better checking oil before I start an engine. 45 years ago that's how it was done.
    I'm too old for this.

That's what I saw but the Mobil 1 comes in a 12qt dispenser with a dispenser valve I was hoping they had 12 individual quarts

Same. Any spot between Add and Max is good. No reason to fill it up to Max. I, generally try to hit the mid-point between the points when I do oil change and oil is cold.

@OP, have it documented by Toyota. Make sure that it is in Toyota information system, ask for a printout, scan, submit it to Toyota customer service. And take $500, and do not go back to that dealer.
