Man, I really feel like I’ve got the best dealership when I hear this stuff. Its cheaper and faster to take it to them for scheduled maintenance than a chain.

Stock (99.999%) OEM Bed Floor Mat, Front Bed Rail Cargo Net and hooks, Auto-Dim mirror w/Compass and outside Temperature display, TRD Pro Grille, Uni-Filter air pump modification, WeatherTech floor liners f/r. (winter) OEM All-Weather floor mats (summer).
The dealer where I bought my truck is honest too. They have an ongoing $20 off coupon for an oil and filter change so it's $29 total conventional, $39 synthetic, 5w-30 Toyota oil, OEM filter and the top off the windshield washer fluid... and they don't charge for the extra 1/2 qt of oil or tell me my revacillator valve needs to be changed or charge me for blinker fluid. I can't do it myself for this price.

The local dealer here does honest work too. They just charge crazy rates for it.

From my understanding the Toyota oil has some kind of additive in it already . More than likely u are just getting the synthetic valvoline oil . I don’t know of any additives that Toyota sells to add to oil . The Toyota oil is specially blended for the Toyota engines .

My first few services were free, but in aggregate they cost me to have my local mechanic replace the rotors given how Toyota over-torqued the lug nuts during the free, initial services…this at 30k.

I discovered this fact after driving down a steep hill and my front end shaking like crazy when applying brakes. This too was after my last free service when the Toyota service dude told me my next service was a “big one” that would be over 1000.

Toyota of El Cajon is a joke.

You had to replace the rotors because they overtightened the lug nuts?!

First time I have heard of that

It was the only path my local mechanic could figure. I’m not an aggressive driver and don’t do anything that would be considered heavy duty off-roading. They were so warped he had to replace.

curious: is this a real Toyota pre-pad mait. program or 3rd party or "Bobs Toyota"?

I would strongly suggest you carefully and diplomatically get a pro-rated refund. Fib if you have to (ie: "I'm moving to upper Alaska and no dealer there"). The key is diplomatic and polite until you have cash in hand. AFTER, you should complain to corporate and/or dealer head office. Don't throw out the "I'll never come back again..." line; this gives the no reason other than word of mouth reputation to help you... But, if they think they have a shot to keep you as future paying customer: your in a different category.

Finally, if you have any means; really should do your own basic 5/10k service (Not hard at all). Or, find a g

No need for additional additives. I also bought prepaid oil changes and when they asked me if I wanted any additives at a couple of appointments, I just said no. There is no way they can force those on you as nothing in service manual mentions need for these.

 Wait… what? Specially blended additives? Is it true or did a dealer say this? Not trying to be a jerk- just want to know cause I just did my own oil change since my maintenance warranty just ended recently.

I was told this by a master technician at Toyota .I don’t see any reason why he would lie about it . Never confirmed with toyota customer service .even if u used your own oil of choice it’s not going to hurt the engine as long as the viscosity is the same .

There is no special additive. It’s bulk oil. When we run out, they get what they can get down the street.

I never used the "Toyota Care". I can't trust my local dealer to change a license plate.
