    curious i have 6,400 miles on my 17 and changed my oil at 5,200. Ive checked multiple times and everytime it was good no consumtion , now my 2011 would be down a quart at 5,000 or every oil change . Just looking to see if other members might have issues

    Mine doesn't use oil either.

    The one positive about these motors is there isn’t any major reports of oil consumption. Not a huge fan of the new motors but i’ll give at least give Toyota props for putting together a tight motor that doesn’t consume a ton of oil.

    My 96 & 99 4 cylinder . Never used oil in 75k each. My 05 V6 116k never used oil (changed myself w/ synthetic).
    My 17 V6, 3.5k still full, thank you for reminding me to check.

    None of my Tacoma's have ever used any Oil, 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, or 3rd Gen.

    My 2000 tacoma V6 had 177,000 miles and never ised a drop of oil.

    Mostly miscellaneous electronic mods.... -2 spare Electrical fuse blocks hard wired to the battery with a key on relay. -Hard Wired Radar detector over rearview mirror. -2 Dual Whelen Avenger blue LED emergency lights, one on each side of the rearview mirror. -EP911 Blue LED Light Bar & Traffic Advisor, Rear Windows. -4 corner amber strobes in stock lights. -Hardwired RF Scanner with external speaker under center console. -Huskyliner front splash guards -Fireband 2 way radio in center console. -Herculiner painted on hitch and skid plate. -Switch to power one 12v socket when truck is off. -AntiDark LED strip under hood with switch. -Timbren Rubber Springs - Rear -MBRP Offroad Cat-Back with Resonator -Duratrac's -Provisor -Color matched hood bug shield
    96K on my taco and no oil burning issues so far that i have noticed.

    On my 94 corolla with 165k i would eat a quart every oil change, 3000mi
