I got an oil cooler, if you don't have one and would like to add it. It should be on the drivers side of the engine block visible through the fender area. looks like this [IMG]

Piggybacking on this. I'm trying to find out the same thing, whether my 3.4L has an oil cooler.

Without disassembling I can't find anything coming off the thermostat housing except this black cap with a hose clamp on it. Maybe someone put in the wrong water pump and capped it off?

There is something that looks like an oil cooler in the next pics, but no hoses to it. Is that the way the factory caps a no oil cooler config? From what everyone has described it's right there rear of the oil filter on the 3.4L.

Yes, that is where an oil cooler would be if you had one.

If you have that silver plug/cap the size of an oil filter you do not have an oil cooler. I had to add an oil cooler to a jdm engine and that is where I installed my oil cooler from my original engine. Also there's a rubber coolant hose that would come off the driver side of water pump to said oil cooler see pic20230310_122113.jpg
