If I don't have the factory tow package, can I add an oil cooler? I know the condensor/radiator can be, but what about the unit that the filter screws into & then feeds/returns to/from. I read a thread somewhere that quoted a Toyota service guy as saying that they don't sell those parts individually and if you don't have the tow package you're SOL and to buy another truck that has it. This sounds questionable. Does anyone know? And if so, what's a good brand of oil cooler?

All the oil cooler does is run a coolant line to the oil filter housing and it uses the coolant to cool the oil.
There is no condenser/radiator for the engine oil, only one for trans oil.

The part number is 710-31010 and it only costs $530 here
