Anyone else have a problem reinserting the oil dipstick? I’m definitely not that slow, but I’m having issues the last 1/4 of the stick. It’s like it binds up no matter what. Any ideas or anyone else having the same issue?

Take it out, turn it 180 degrees, and try again

Well technically I’m only 8 years and one degree away but I’m close. But seriously, I tried twisting it and even at an angle and it just binds up until a certain point then it goes in smoothly. Never had an oil change yet due to it being new so no one has had a chance to mess it up since the factory. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar issue.

I think what I do on mine is insert it and twist it maybe a quarter turn clockwise?

I’ll try this again. I put a drill through my hand and hit a nerve so I lost some use in my hand temporarily so it’s hard to use just one hand and keep it from flopping around all Willy nilly. Let the jokes flow on that one. Lol but thank you.

Hold down on the actual metal part not the handle.

Lol usually I just beat stuff with the blunt end of a bayonet and it fixes it but it’s a shiny expensive object so I resisted.

Unless it binds when you pull it out, nothing is wrong.

I tried searching. Most posts talk about the dipstick being stuck in the tube.

A couple of threads related to this were "entertaining" to say the least. Be prepared.
