I believe the distance between the 2 marks on the dip stick equals one quart.

    from the manual...

The approximate quantity of oil needed to
raise the level between low and full on the
    dipstick is indicated as follows:

    2.7 L 4−cylinder (2TR−FE) engine
    1.3 L (1.4 qt., 1.1 Imp.qt.)

    4.0 L V6 (1GR−FE) engine
    1.5 L (1.6 qt., 1.3 Imp.qt.)

My 2006 Taco was always reading way over full and I took it back to the stealership, who was doing the first 4 changes for "free".... The first change, I checked it....it was overfull.... they said they put in the right amount...don't worry.... next time, same shit........OK.... finally I did my own oil change and the level was "spot on"... all I did was put the correct amount of oil into the truck.... It's been right on the mark ever since....

The stupid dealer was overfilling my Taco.... Stupid bastards...!!

They are total F--ups.... can't even put the right amount of oil into a truck...

    Over
