Which oil to choose? Any oil regular or synthetic...if change regular...you will be OK
Synthetics oils how to view them?
They come in basically three GRADES..best way to tell the grades is the recommend time to replace it..
    Oil change under 7500 miles..grade 3
Oil change under 15,000 miles ..grade 4
Oil changes over 15,000 miles ..grade 5...Amsoil, Redline, purple oil?...and a few more..
Higher the grade the higher the quality
I saw a study showing Amsoil rated the highest scores, Mobile came in the middle..I have been using mobile in all my cars and trucks since 1975...
Switching to Costco synthetic..same as Mobile..way cheaper!
Hard to find today in Kona the ..Mobile oil (grade-5)with 20,000 mile oil changes..?

just for information .. the tool for removing Tacoma oil filters...many are made of plastic or aluminum...they will break sometimes...BUY THE STEEL made ones..Amazon
    Aloha
Also buy a higher quality oil filters..not the cheap Walmart kind...premium quality ones is recommended
Purpose is to keep your engine oil without contamination..which the oil filter is supposed do..

Olive if cooking Italian. Butter if cooking French. Mineral if the cats got hair balls.
