Oil Filter Change Hack

    Bought some heat resistant tubing and voila! No more messing with that little hard to remove cap underneath. Threading it down to avoid any moving parts was the only tricky part. Anyway thought I'd share and get your thoughts and or advice.

    Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
    It looks decent. I never found the cap hard to remove, personally, so I never felt the need to do what you did.


    For oil changes, though, I did take a length of tubing and a barb fitting, drilled a hole in the cap of an old oil bottle, inserted the barb fitting, attached the tube, and then I run that up to the oil filter drain. Keeps things cleaner that way. Oh and I took one of my left over breather valves and put that on the top of the oil bottle, too. Helps things drain faster into the bottle.

    Mine doesn't have a cap, I just wedge a 20 oz. Poland Spring bottle under the nipple and prop it up on the belts. Neat idea though, saves you some time.
