I recently changed my oil/filter on my 5VZ-FE and it appears the oil filter has a slow leak. I know I did not double up the gaskets, I did pre-oil the gaskets, cleaned the sealing surface, and I re-tested and it is tight.

First off, can I remove the filter without draining the oil without having to worry about a huge mess?

Any other things I could be missing with this?

Oh very interesting... Once I use the extra WIX I have laying around I will be going with the Toyota. Thanks!

I can just pick those up at a dealer, right?

Its probably the oil filter or its too tight. I seen that plenty of times.
But I would change that filter with a toyota oil filter.

I installed the spare Wix I had laying around, the leakage appears to be gone.

I will start buying the Toyota from now on, I am not overly concerned about getting it on right now.
