I used to get mine from AMZ for 03 4runner and they were OEM. Its shame that stuff like this even happens.

What I will do with my taco is to keep the original filter, and everytime I buy, i will compare it.

One more way to tell if your engine has turned a tragic turn. Video is just 11 month old too, so its still out there. People who sell these filters need to rot in jail. Imagine a family who depends on 1 car, and this filter causes major damage, leaving them in debt for a car and without transportation.

Apparently there was a notification from Toyota addressing this change in color/filter media earlier this year. Had the hologram on the packaging and says made in Thailand, which is where the previous ones were made I believe, and also where Denso does a lot of manufacturing and I'm pretty sure Denso makes their filters so I'm assuming it's a change from the supplier

OK so I bought "OEM" Toyota YZZA1 oil filters from eBay from a seller with 99% positive feedback. I see several OEM different styles of Thailand boxes shown. Mine does look like the light one and does have the holographic Toyota dot sticker on the cover but doesn't have the UPC code on it. I'm wondering if it is real?
