Because lazy fucks rip the engine bay's mud guard off to do this...
I now refuse to let businesses like Pennzoil (and others), change my oil.

IMO... techs that destroy something because they're lazy or rushed...
should be made to pay for fucking up that engine bay's mud guard.

If I do have an oil service done...
I check that shit now...
and if the flap is fucked up and unable to be re-secured...
That business will be buying me a new one.

Now I suppose yer gonna tell me yer ever so careful
and never tear that when you remove that to gain entry ?

Dude, spend all of 30 fucking cents at the dealership for snap in/out tabs for your mudguard. You push the button in, it locks. You pull the button out, it unlocks...

You can pull it open for work, then close it back when your done.

Just do a 3" body lift so you can reach right in there between the body and the frame!

what a rant! plz learn to read closely. the way we do it at pennzoil the 'hood tech' reaches their arm in from the top of the engine bay and under the alternator to remove oil filter then washes down skid plate after installing new oil filter... also i have never had to remove one of those flaps to gain entry being that i listed two other ways, the one used at pennzoil is the easiest and quickest as long at you arent afraid of a lil hot oil on your skin... chill doucher lol i'm sorry u had a bad experience but if u werent such an idiot you would have been doing it yourself in the first place, shits so easy a monkey could change oil. but i always said "as far as shitty jobs go, mine's pretty dope" UNTIL dumb asses like u come in with prejudice from a bad experience with a different tech or a completely different lube shop and you project your fucking attitude onto me as if my hard labor (easy work ) is sub par.

ok im done ranting.

TacoDell: i forgot to mention one step, since you want to change it yourself: oil the filter gasket before you install the new oil filter. i assume you know how to find and work the plug so i didn't mention draining the old oil/adding oil.
