Yup, I use a 3/8 cordless Snap-on impact, takes me 30 seconds tops.

A few examples of bad oil filter placements is the 4.6L Fords, the oil spills all over the rack and subframe. 4.9L Cadillac, the oil spills all over the TOP of the transmission WHAT?

91 pathfinder. the filter is between the starter and intake.. so you have on run to turn it..

Reviving this thread, because I am thinking of doing this on my 97 3.4 4WD. The only place that I have found where to put the filter is on the inside of the frame next to the alternator, but not sure if the filter will fit with the skid plate. If not, is there another location that will work?

It should fit fine on the frame rail. While still having the skid plate. If I remember I'll take a pic after work tonight

Cool, thanks. Which kit do you have and which filter does it use?

I've used napa brand, fram, and lately I've been using Purolator. They all fit fine, but I did cut a slit in my skid plate and angled the filter so I don't have to take off my skid. As for brand I don't remember But I did get it from advanced auto parts online.

No pre runner trim, no mud flaps,no step ups,I do have the Deck plate though. Kings @ 0 and 5100's in rear. stock leafs. Total chaos UCA.
Yea they definitely missed the mark on a few Toyota vehicles 03 siennas and one year for the Camry. And then the first gen 4x’s got it pretty bad too lol. The adapter is going on this month 100%.

I thought I was missing something. I just throw my floor jack under take the wheel off and it’s right there, biggest pain is draining.
