Hello, I'm Stephen. I have a 3rd gen Tacoma and have sas being finished up now. I have a little concern as to where the oil filter canister is and being more exposed than I'd like. It's not super likely that I would get hung up on a rock and damage the oil filter area but if it does happen I know I'm going to have a really bad day. Anyway curious as to what others have found with relocating the canister all together if there's a setup for that? Or if anyone has come up with a good functional skid to somewhat cover that area now that I have a solid axle in front?
Any info, links or tips would be appreciated.

Yeah I've seen those and contemplated if it's still going to stick out too much.
Maybe a scenario where I have no choice but to buy that kit and dry fit it to see how it looks. Appreciate the info

I don't know how you'd realistically get any shorter than this adapter. It should only stick out about 2" once threaded into the housing.
