Absolutely BEST bet around for oil changes:

    1. - Get the Fumoto drain valve, cap and tube extension (I forget what the basic valve comes with) ESPECIALLY if you have a Pro skid.

    2. - Get the MotivX oil drain kit

Install both, and it will make oil changes substantially easier, and a whole lot less messy.
I only attempted an oil change 1 time prior to installing the Fumoto valve and MotiveX kit, never again......

As others have said, a very light tap on the oil wrench, or just back it off a C-hair and it will slip right off.

I use el cheapo aluminum one. Mines only gotten stuck when it was positioned upside down. I don’t really bother cleaning off the old oil and now I carefully seat the tool before turning a wrench. No problems.

Not saying some form of anti seize or oil is bad but it will mess up the torque if you are using a torque wrench. Antiseize or oil is not at all necessary on the stock filter housing, aluminum who knows?

If you aren’t using a torque wrench just seat the parts don’t wrench down hard at all.

Either use a vampire pump or collect from the drain mid flow.

Yes on both. Don't want aluminum threading into aluminum dry, if you plan to loosen it again.

Good thing I don't torque mine!

I always oil the o-ring. Makes everything slide in together better

I collect in mid flow. What I was getting at with the Fumoto valve is you have control over the flow, you can easily stop it more so than you can if you just have a drain plug. putting it back while the oil is flowing would be messy

    Hand-tighten mine upon replacing filter.

Use removal tool on next oil change.

Not as difficult to unscrew the housing unit once pre-draining is complete. I'll have to take a pic with the Aluminum Hosing.
