    This came across my feed. It's actually a year old. It's not SUPER scientific and does have it's flaws (like only one sample per filter), but despite that I am PERSONALLY surprised by how bad the Toyota filter did.

    I don't know what Toyota's tolerance spec is, so the filter MIGHT actually be in spec - just crappy in COMPARISON to other brands. There are forum posts (not necessarily in TacomaWorld) that show some having a flaw where the pleats are split, but when he examines their sample, you can see that it does not have that split flaw.

    I've been using Toyota filters for the last few years (bought from the dealer), but now I'm second guessing.
