Oil in coolant.

    oh so what could explain oil in my coolant (brown and froathy) but no coolant in oil on a manual?

    No I just got my oil changed and they told me about it but they didnt say anything about the old oil. new oil is still clean no white residue or signs of coolant.

    i dont remember ever changing it just topping it up now and then.

    I think it's the headgasket. You can have a little water in the oil and it not be noticeable. Only way to determine that is if you have it tested. I'd suggest you have a mechanic look it over if possible.

    FYI mixing Toyota pink coolant with a none compatible antifreeze will turn it brown.

    You could star over with a flush kit which you can get a walmart cheap. Flush it out good (have the heater on and it blowing). See if it returns back to the brown crap. If it does, then there is an oil leak. Are you losing oil at all?

    i dont think so i havent moved it since and last time i checked it it was a little lower than full but it's parked on a hill. i think im going to flush it like you said and see if im getting any oil then go from there.

    Don't forget to monitor the oil for water too. Keep an eye on the temp gauge also.
