I had my radiator by the dealership replaced due to a small crack 2 months ago. 4-5 days ago I noticed this. Today I noticed some new drops and it seems like it's coming from a housing? Not the actual tube, I didn't notice any cracks or tears. My coolant level is halfway, and my temps have been fine while driving. Radiator1.jpg

I randomly checked my oil this morning with nothing on the stick, added a full quart, still nothing. I checked below and saw this.Leak1.jpg Leak2.jpg

I have a leak somewhere, but I have no idea where. I'm pretty in over my head on this one, I'm very new to maintenance and trying to learn as I go.

What do you guys think? Could the radiator issue be causing the oil issue?

Spray that pink grime off and replace the hose.

    Yeah.
That steering rack boot looks like most Tacoma steering rack boots.

Replace that hose as others have said. Keep adding oil until you can get it to show on the dip stick. Then monitor under the truck for drips.

At the very least new clamp.

If you're losing enough oil for the level to drop so low, something is very wrong. I almost never have to top off oil between changes. Looking at the pattern of the oil, on the bottom of the skidplate, back by the steering rack, I would hope for a sloppy oil filter change and it's just leaking at the filter. It could be something worse, but I'm always hopeful. You're going to have to remove the skidplate and clean up the bottom of the engine a bit to know for sure. (Pretty simple, skid plate comes out with a handful of 14mm bolts.) Hint on that: pull only the bolts holding the two-piece assembly, don't separate the two pieces, they can be fiddly to get back together when laying on your back. :-D

Have a can of PB blaster on hand, if the bolts seem stuck, they will break if they're too rusted.

If you can't figure out the leak immediately, as mentioned do a cleanup and check for leaks/drips after a short drive. A side note, petroleum products blowing rearward (like oil) will accelerate the deterioration of the rubber bushings on your power steering gear (steering rack.) While you're under there see if any oil is getting to those bushings, clean that up too.

What Andy said. Dealer Svc Dept needs to own that pink nightmare of a mess. At the very least, they should've cleaned it up. Pink crusties need to be cleaned up from the inlet and outlet. If not, it's going to leak.

As for the oil leak, what others and Bill mentioned. Dropping the skid plates will help to figure out the source. Way back when I had a neighbor doing oil changes for me, he neglected to tighten the filter and it made a nasty mess. Get in there and hand tighten, if it's loose you'll have found the source of the leak. If not, once the skid is off, wipe up any residual oil and fill. Start the truck and get under there. Watch for leaks. If its leaking that much, its going to be apparent where it is coming from.

Lower Ball Joints look like they could be replaced as well. Make those a priority once you resolve the oil leak.

Are you measuring it on the overflow bottle next to the radiator? If so, 1/2 way mark is fine (with the engine off).
