Hello all. I have an 02 trd v6 4x4 ext cab with a manual tranny.
Ive just noticed what appears to be oil dripping from the front right corner of the front skid plate. I've briefly tried to look to see where it's coming from but hard to tell with the skid plate in the way. Has anyone had this happen that can tell me where the oil is likely coming from? Does my truck have an oil cooler? If so, could the leak be from the cooler lines?
    Thanks for any input.

might just be old oil spilled onto the skid plate, its hard to avoid it which is why I took my skid plate off completely.

crawl under there and take your plate off to see if anything is dripping oil

It hasn't had an oil change in a while so it shouldn't be residual oil.
Is the plate pretty simple to remove?

yes, the bolts are all 12mm socket and some are inside the recessed holes not in plain view

for such a small plate it has like 8 bolts holding it I think, also there is a slide catch on the back side to keep it in place while your trying to bolt it back on so it doesn't just fall off so after the bolts are out you need to slide it forward, or maybe backwards, for it to drop out its been so long I forget
