a faulty oil filter? Did you change it? Did you clean up the old oil? Monitor it and see what happens

All good & plausible reasons for oil leak, how about the valve cover? Has it been off recently ? If so alot of people forget to torque them in ft. pounds( I think its 15lbs) , generally from side to side , starting from the center bolts & working out, leaving the final snug (when you feel or hear the little "click" from your torque wrench.

A little loose? Its a pressurized system, a little loose is too loose. The filter should be snug

The same thing happened to me on a cruiser. The clean up wasn't too bad, but wasting that Mobil 1$ didn't make me happy. You only need one oil filter gasket!
