Those are Iridium plugs, and they look pretty good. How many miles when they were changed?

    Think it's normal.

    This was at 59,595 miles.

I think you have to change them at 60k to keep the warranty on emissions equipment.

It looks to me like Toyota might have actually used a little anti-seize on the threads. Amazing! Most manufactures seem like they put them in dry. Who cares if they seize up as long as it is after the warranty! Interesting that they require them to be changed prior to 100K. Maybe that's why they applied the AS.

Not sure what a plenum is...
Theres at least 2 how-to's on this forum. One the shows correct way, the other shows how to do it without taking the intake off. They really should be stickied.

Crazy, I keep up pretty frequently on here and I missed both of those. What do u mean by correct? By the book? Or do u have to persuade some stuff to pull the driver's side?

Basically your screwed. The plugs are telling you, it’s time to get a 2019 now while you can.

Yea, you remove the entire intake manifold and everything that is covering up the drivers side plugs. I don't know exactly what is all supposed to be removed but it seemed like more then I cared to do. I did it by following the how to @Vbpiper posted a few posts up.

It just threw me off because you said correct haha. They both seem correct in my book. Also, plenum is like an intake.

Sorry, I just meant "by the book". Plenum is like an intake? Alright, good to know!

In a plenum, Each runner from the head goes to a chamber that it sucks from. On an intake manifold, the chamber and runners are all kinda one piece. Just slight technical differnces, but basically same shit haha.

I didn't remove all that much. I loosened the supports and just worked around the wires.

Actually, the one on the left is similar. It's just in the Shadow. Nothing really stands out all that much.

I think you are reading in it too much.

When dealing with pump gas, it's easy to read a little too much when it comes to plugs.
