Not sure why everyone is saying it’s fine, the owners manual is pretty clear on that.

Because the dipstick in my truck is not accurate. The manual also says 6.2 quarts.

Everyone is saying it because it is fine. It's true that greatly over filling the crankcase can do serious harm but a few ounces will do no damage whatsoever.

Did they charge you for the extra cup of oil?

looks like classic case of forgot to change the oil filter then added 6 quarts? just a thought.
i change my own oil and filter, never had that happen. 6 quarts, just a little below max line when i do it.

Judging by how much drains out of the filter housing and how much it's over on the dipstick, I'd say you're on to something.

Mine used to do this too. I cut my dipstick down and haven't had any issue since!

Realistically, they probably just didn't change the oil filter.

I found the best way to check the dip stick is in the AM before starting it, oil shows up best on the dip stick. IMO

I don't understand why all the "I bet they forgot to change the filter" comments. Do you think we are that lazy? In the 22 years I have been a tech. I have never not changed a filter. And don't know of any of the techs I have worked with, to not change the filter. What do we have to gain from that? The amount of people who bash dealer techs on here is unreal. This is why you don't see many chime in on here, to help people with issues.

    Rant over.

I have nothing to gain by lying to a bunch of interwebs strangers.
When I said they didn't change the filter it's because they didn't change the filter.
I'm glad your dealership does things right.

Yes I think you (dealer techs, not you personally) are that lazy. The forum posts here daily prove it. Its good to know that you and your coworkers have integrity though, so thank you truly.

    the oil is fine,
but my problem is when i roll all my windows up at the same time one is faster than the others by about 3/10th of a second? so do i need to change my oil at 4k? or do i need a external trans cooler? or just get a ridgeline?

Moral of the story is he'll be fine with the oil at that level.
If it's worrying then drain some out or take it back.
The filter, if not changed, will(should) last until next oil change. Worse case scenario you blow the filter gasket and are left with a puddle of liquid gold under your truck.

There was a similar problem on the VW Phaeton - people complained the two ashtrays in the dash didn't pop out at the same speed...
