Oil pan removal 2003 tacoma 4wd

    do I really need to drop the 4wd differential on a 2003 Tacoma to remove the oil pan or can I unbolt the motor mounts and raise the engine enough to slide it out.

    Yeah drop the diff if you don't get everything out of the way it will be a bitch to put the oil pan back on to get the right seal.

    The diff is not that bad. Just did my oil pan like 4 days ago.

    It would probably is easier to pull the engine.
