I've been using Dorman P/N 65271 12mm copper gaskets for the last couple of years on two trucks with no leaks. Got them specifically because they don't stick to the oil pan like the Toyota gaskets do.

Next time you remove the plug, check that the oil pan surface around the drain hole is smooth with no gouges or deep scratches.

me 2, until my new 018 SantaFe showed a drip. Now I do use their washers but never before on earl changes for let's see... Cheby, Mopar, Pontiac, Honda, Toyota, other Hyundais. Getting headache now must go find Dave, who's looking for Marsha. Ya know some seat just perfect and some don't. Washer is your prerogative.

I'm going tomorrow to change oil... ya'll makin me nervous with all this dripin talk goin on. I'm getting an OEM washer from the local dealer, stopping at the local auto parts store and getting a dozen of the blue silicone washers and wrapping my drain plug with Teflon tape. That should ensure I don't get a drop on my nasty garage floor. Seriously, love these discussion on here, even an old Taco can learn:burnrubber:

Just for the record: When I got my truck (it already had 130k miles on it) I also had that gasket/washer that was stuck on the oil pan like the one you scraped off. I bought a pack of 10 Toyota replacements from Amazon and told myself I would let the existing one go until it leaks, then use that time frame as my replacement interval into the future.

80,000 miles and ~15 oil changes later I've never replaced that gasket. Get a bag of Toyota ones and don't look back.
