FWIW, I'd rather it have hit at 40k, then the dealer would've been on the hook for repairs instead of me. As it stands, I'm out of pocket, and the stupid thing laid down before it's even paid off (2 months left on the note). The worst part is, I love the truck - but this experience, and the multitude of others I've seen on here, dissuade me from considering a Toyota in the future.

That is true. 40K was a bad example, there are some that let up around 80K as well. The worst part is that you can get a new head and new valves for the burnt one, but will that one eventually do it too?
