Hi Everyone. Im new here. Just replaced the front driver's side bearing on the front diff. I see from other threads that I drove the oil seal in too far (drove it until it bottomed) and now it is seeping. Ill have to tear it apart again. C'est la vie.

Im okay on the orientation of the seal, spring side toward the diff gears. The thin steel plate that sits on the axle and contacts the seal, Im not sure if I have that right. Anyone tell me what the proper orientation is for this plate?

This forum has been useful and I appreciate the expertise of the people here. I was going to buy the ECGS tool, then I was going to make one, but I wound up buying this collet and making my own tool to pull the bearing. It was quick and easy. The ECGS tool just looked too fiddly.

Thanks in advance for your kind attention and advice.

Here's the collet (buy the 35mm size) https://www.jakewilson.com/p/4870/2...-Collet?term=tusk+35mm+bearing+remover+collet
