Not as bad as replacing spark plugs out of a front wheel drive caddy (don't remember the year) with the engine sitting sideways. I don't think anyone at the factory mocked it up to see if there is room to change the plugs on that beast.

    Something else.

Like many other things ......IT DEPENDS

Oil change interval at X miles is not as critical as how the engine is used and where (among other things).

    A) Rental cars at NY airports take alot of abuse from constant start/stop. running short distances without the oil getting hot. etc. So regardless of what oil is used, the engine is taking a beating.

    B) A state trooper in Oklahoma, Nevada or Montana (or forum members here) who drive long distances with engine oil temp at the correct level, less stop/start.

A needs more frequent oil changes and is not going to last as many miles as B. I have seen this many times. SO IT DEPENDS.

Another issue is pollution. I change my air filters at twice the intervals as my friend who lives upstate NY. And mine is dirtier.

    Mr. Sicyota04

Do you use push/pull Rivets (or anything similar) in order to get to the filter? and if so do you have a link for it?

I would like to replace the few that need t come off for easy access to filter but not sure which one to buy.

    Something like these

I got these ones at the dealer. Not the E bay ones but the OEM ones. I have 246,000 miles on mine so I just replaced all the push button things that snap in. Except I just leave the front driver's side front piece splash guard off where you reach into the filter at. My passenger side splash guard is one piece but on the driver's side it's a 2 piece and since I'm constantly reaching in there. I just leave it off. I just replaced all the grill clips too. After that many miles, stuff starts to wear out & get brittle.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Northstar V8 if I had to venture a guess. Will have to look closer next time one comes in, but from what I can recall, the engine sits pretty far back close to the firewall.
