Same basic shit everybody else had 5 years ago.
    Thanks!

Don't remember off the top of my head, I painted them back in 07/08, I'll have to dig out one of the extra cans I have but I think it was Dupli-color wheel paint in graphite gray.

This may seem off topic, but trust me that this is germane to the thread.

Can anyone guess what this is?

Hello all, first post on here after about 2 months of reading damn near every topic on first gens. Bought my 02 DC in early August with full intentions of lifting it and after all my researching here,I decided going complete OME kit with Dakar leafpack,883 coils and UL uppers.Very impressed with the OME setup, the ride and handling on and off the road is amazing!Drives like a truck should drive:D

Well, no...that is actually a Taco in its natural, pre-embryonic state. Because when that fell off the front of my 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue just as I pulled in my driveway (no sh*t: "thunk" followed by "whir whir whir..." as it rolled out from under the hood and into the street), it turned into:

    IMG_20131117_144317_262_zps01c4e029_cbcfbda407a8bec250c29257f107c271c6d52f64.jpg

That happened on a Tuesday night. Wednesday morning I had to be at a client site 37miles away, and then again on Thursday & Friday. I was d*mned if I was going to drop any more coin into that P.O.S. Intrigue and I didn't want to rent a car (money lost). I had seen this Taco over at a local Toy dealership... so off I went. One test drive and several hours later she was mine!

Having no full time employment since July 2010, immediate upgrades are probably out of the question, although I think my first upgrade would be to replace the running gear / steps with proper sliders. Having said that... is she showing a bit of a bro squat here? Alas, even if she is, I won't be able to do anything about that for a while. I'm just happy to have a DC Taco 4x4!

    IMG_20131117_144435_579_zpsca5d35aa_46c5370d7b9f402a24f0843b56606176b3e2798b.jpg

First thing I did was have the bed Line-X'd (she came without a bedliner).

    IMG_20131117_144512_142_zps3ab66aa9_ea157650b92199c3f0ea1247471acf22623883d4.jpg

I found the topper on CL for $300, and for an extra $100 had the 3rd BL replaced with a brand new LED unit and replaced the interior incandescent light with a battery operated LED pushbutton model.

    Worked great hunting!

    Oh that's sweet!

That's what I'd ultimately like to do with my Taco. Can you give me an idea (ballpark) of how much I need to save for a complete OME kit with Dakar leafpack, 883 coils and UL uppers? (Also, pardon my ignorance, but what are UL uppers? Is that suspension-related, or front bumper related?)

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Nice truck, good choice on color.
Lift looks good also. What brand is UL for the upper control arms? Does that stand for uniball?
