Love the shooting part but I hate the taste of both and just way to much work for what little shooting you get.

I sure wish we had white tails here
these blacktail deer are fun but the horns never compare to the white tails I see on here

damn, that sucks. our season here starts near the middle of september(bow season), gun season starts middle of october and season ends the first of the year. we are allowed 10 deer a season, and most weekends are doe days, so needess to say, when the season is in.......im mostly in the woods(when im not a work anyway!!). this past season wasnt that good because of the lack of rain we had this summer, plus it wasnt really cold either. hopefully this coming season will be a good one. still waiting on a trophy buck......but i aint shy about shooting a doe, besides, you can boil antlers all day......but you cant eat them:D!!

Wow 10 deer I might have to move:D
Are season starts first weekend in october and ends
the friday before the first weekend in november only 4 weeks:mad:
On the plus side we do have great elk hunting around these parts
the only down side to that is the seasons only 9 days I buy a tag but
rarely get an elk as I take my vacation for the last week of deer season
as its the start of the rut so that leaves me 2 days to elk hunt:confused:
I make up for it tho as I run bobcats and coons with hounds in the winter
So that lets me hunt alot more

running bobcats and coons sounds fun. we have a few bobcats round here, but we have alot more yotes.........some im gonna get rid of as many of them as i can........they can get pretty vicious on the deer population.

I run yotes some times with the hounds
just have to find some good clear cuts so you can get a shot
as the underbrush here is as thick as thieves

its really thick here at some of the places we hunt deer. its can be a pain in the ass tracking them too, especially if you get on that runs in the afternoon after you shoot it. picking up blood trails in that brush is not fun!!

    I know what you mean
were in the process of trying to get a law passed
so we can use tracking dogs on wounded game
rules in this state are kinda anti hunter we have to many tree huggers
