I’m going to be installing new front shocks. Is it ok to use an impact gun to loosen the LCA bolts, and the other high torque bolts? Just want to be sure with the LCA having adjustment bolts.
Will be torqued to spec after.

Yes, if your impact gun can loosen it. I normally crack the nut loose with my hand tools (breaker bar), then using an impact to remove the nut.

    Cheers

If your impact can't break a lca bolt it's time to upgrade.

But to op yes I remove as many bolts as I can with an impact on installation is a different story. I'll typically run everything on with an electric ratchet then snug followed by a proper torque.

When installing best to start and first few turns by hand.

You can but you can do front shocks without touching the LCA bolts. You just separate the spindle from the UCA and you can push the LCA down enough to get the shock out. Lots of people have done it this way instead of undoing the bolts on the LCAs
