IDK, the height of the snorkel opening is at least 5 feet above the ground, so that is the depth that you can ford a creek...right?

    NOPE!

The snorkel isn't fully sealed so water can get in at the air box just like any other Tacoma!

I hope that person installed the diff breathers on his truck or he needs to replace his fluids!

Not necessarily. The diff breathers are actually designed to avoid letting water in. It's just when they get clogged up with oil that they don't work and let water in. With a truck that new it won't likely be an issue. Wouldn't hurt to check though.

REALLY? When did the design change? Is this something new?

I don’t know about that. The OE “breathers” are pretty flimsy and don’t seal entirely too well. Even if it did, the cooling of the diff and axle can draw water in through the axle seals.
    To my knowledge, it hasn’t.

Probably not. Do you really think you have to change your gear oil every time you dunk it in some water? I guess I better change mine every time I put my boat in the lake then. Which is exactly 3 times now with my new truck and probably about 150 times with my old one. Neither of them have modified diff breathers and neither of them have ever pulled water in.

Go pull yours out and try to suck water through it and get back to me. You'd have to have your diff running at about 300 degrees and drop it in about 20 feet of water before water could force it's way past the axle seals. Some of you guys are pretty gullible when it comes to "necessary" mods for wheeling and water crossing.

I think the snorkel looks sweet and does provide at least some small level of functionality as it grabs area from above the roof vs the wheel well. But if you're into STDs and drug addiction that's cool too

    1) Not a sealed system so no functionality

    2) it’s called humor - look it up if you don’t know what it means so wrong again.
Nice try anyway and Thanks for playing....

Maybe for water crossing, but I'd bet it pulls cleaner air. Sick come back
