I have been reading through many posts and searching for the answer but have not come up with one yet. So I will create my own thread.

I have an 08 Pre DC...

I am having the TSB rear springs done next week. If I understand this correctly it will lift the rear of my truck appox 1-1/2"

The front will be low so I will purchase the 5100s to level it out. I am going to need new tires soon and I want to keep the stock rims...

Like most I want the largest tire I can get without a huge amount of trimming or rubbing issues.

Most everyone agrees the 265/75/16 on the stock rims work well.

Most everyone also agrees that 285/75/16s will rub and require trimming and if run offroad much will rub a lot.

My question is this... why not 32 x 11.50s? They have the same height as the 265/75 but are a little wider and usually cheaper.

Am I missing something... shouldnt they work?

Anyone have this setup? Any picts?

    Thanks,

    Greg

Go to tire rack or onlinetires.com and search for a 32x11.50x16 or 17.. There in lies your answer...

You would have to downsize rimsize, which then wouldnt clear your brake calipers...

    ok.. Missed that important detail.....

    I did notice this though...

Nitto Terra- 285/75/16 32.68 tall 11.34 wide (gonna rub)

Nitto Trail- 285/70/16 31.89 tall 11.5 wide Some what smaller in height but still pretty wide. Anyone ever tried this tire in this size? While I dont go offroad in this prerunner.... (have a 76 Bronco for that) I could use the extra traction of the trail tire occasionally.

Also Toyo MT is offered in 285/70/16. I am sure ppl on here know this but I am interested n opinions about how they fit and any photos they might have.
