Nope! Just like certain cars, some are a bit more expensive than others! We've had him for little better than a year now and he's worth EVERY penny!! http://malinois.com/site-dogs/knox-ot-vitosha/

Thanks for this post!! Seems some complain about it...maybe because they can't justify/afford the upgrade?! But, why rain on my parade because I want it??!! Thanks again!! Nice truck!

Yes, that’s why. Oh, and also because I am the most anti-gun guy you’ll ever meet. Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

No one was shitting on the kit per se. Opinions of Icon aside, they were talking about the price itself. I'm looking at this kit online right now for 4,600 with billet uppers (which I'm sure you're getting). Your initial price was 8,000 and you next quote was 6,000. Both numbers are high for this kit (installed!)

Edit: I may have misread the original post and thrown the 8 in the icon stge 8 lift onto the price. My point still stands for 6000.

20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
Yeah but the kit is pre-trained to know how to offroad right out of the box. That's gotta be like a $40k value so really he's getting a sweet deal

Nope! The price for the lift installed is and has been $6k. Another reply suggested I claimed $8k. I just find it comical that anyone would think talking about $20-$40k expenses would be bragging on any level!! If any of you were unable to swing a few purchases, you probably should be taking an Uber!

Fella, your understanding of diction is all wrong. I am in no way whatsoever being passive-aggressive at all. I am speaking the honest truth about the exact thoughts that are flowing through my brain without reservation. Some say that I'm brutally honest. Some say that I'm an asshole. Some even say that I'm a fucking dick. Those descriptions are 100% accurate. But passive-aggressive? Never. But thanks for playing. You've been a heaven send on this community. We all love laughing at douche-bags.

Congrats on the truck OP, and for asking questions about mods!

I'm not sure where you're at (seems like more of the planning stage) but, as others have said, get used to your vehicle in more or less stock form before going too crazy. These trucks are highly capable out of the box for most folks, imo. Go slow.

One of the most important things to prioritize for your trips/every day is your own knowledge, tools, and prep. Here is a great thread about going alone and safety, which would serve you well in nearly all situations regardless (i.e. going with a group), as self-reliance is a beautiful thing: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/going-alone-single-vehicle-wheeling-safety.454083/

Again, start small and progress. Appropriate tires, the ability to air down/up, a good shovel, and recovery boards (Maxtrax have been stated - I use GoTreads) will get you most places. Good luck!
