Well, I think we may only get a little rain Saturday afternoon into the evening, but it won't be all day. I think we'll be able to pack up camp Saturday morning without any problem of rain. Weather looks to be in the 80's luckily.... we'll see how much humidity we get with it. I'm ready to go. Picked up a few last minute things today: Water waders and waterproof LED lantern.

I'm changing the oil tonight and hopefully will get some d-ring bed tie downs installed so I can secure the winch in the bed. Then get things packed in the bed thursday night. Most of our camping gear is ready to pull out of our shed and put in the bed anyway, and my recovery gear I never took out in case it was needed from the flooding. Good call on the waders . I also loaded the GPX file you posted on my Garmin handheld and the topo maps for the area.

Awesome! Glad you have the garmin. I downloaded a gps app for the iPad and downloaded the maps, but we'll see how that works. I'm loading all up Thursday as well. Most everything is going in tubs in the bed. And I figured waders would be good if one gets stuck in a bog, or more importantly to check water depth. They are chest high.

Well unfortunately I won't have any lights for the trip except for my flash light lol. Still need to get the winch wired up when the new mounting plate gets here tomorrow.

Did you run the wires where you want them to go? Or just waiting on that new plate to come in? I'd help out tomorrow, but I'll be in South Carolina until late.

Where are you installing the controller for the winch? On Sean's truck we luckily had a mounting plate that we were able to stick it on in the back left cubby area over the fender well.

So for those of you bringing a woman on the trip how will the bathroom situation work? Trying to decide if I want to bring my daughter or not.
