I cycle every few months as well in the winter. We use a lot of fuel in my household and I don’t even have teen drivers yet.

I buy gas like this and use fuel points to save 1200-1600.00 per year.

How the old cans came to be was I got a generator years ago for emergency use like running the freezer, etc. Knock on wood, but any outages have been short. So 2 of the plastic cans were initially filled, then kept in the shade outside, eventually covered with junk and ignored. Another two were used to top up a one galloner to mix for the yard tools but I might have only been using one of them.
Two of the cans could never seal tight and always smelled. I’d guess all the high volatiles escaped.
Although I’m doubtful anything would get damaged, if the fuel was crap and the truck temporarily died and needed a tow, drained tank and fuel lines, etc not worth it!
I brought them all to the recycler.
    I appreciate all the feedback.
