I am thinking of purchasing the OME lift for my truck. I have a 2006 Access Cab 4x4. It has an ARB front bumper so I would have to get the upgraded springs for carrying the extra weight. What do you guys think about this lift? And do you have any better suggestions? I also have axle wrap so I will need a kit that replaces the rear leaf springs as well.

Can't go wrong with OME. Do it.

Keep an eye out on the deals and coupon section of this forum. You can maybe pick up a complete setup with dakars for around $1100ish.

Running OME N182's in the rear with an AAL on my '13

Great shocks, and offer more than an inch of extra travel over the 5100's

Running OME886 suspension with my ARB bumper. Overall an excellent combination. Truck handles the additional weight without issue. Skip the AAL and go with Dakar leaf packs in the rear. Love mine.

Having axle wrap I have to go with the new springs in the back anyway. Do you happen to have any pics of your truck with the lift installed? I'd like to see what it looks like with that lift since its the same one I'm getting. And did you use any spacers or trim packers?

Best photos I have right now. Tires are 265/75/16. Also changed out my UCAs with LR UCAs. No spacers. I believe I have trim packers since no drivers side lean. The rear end sits only slightly higher than the front with the Dakars.

Recommend you check out XpeditionReady.com. I ordered all my parts through them. I spoke with Ben over the phone. He's done quite a few installs on Tacomas and can definitely help you with your suspension needs. His pricing is competitive as well.

I have the same bumper as you with the ome lift with the 886 springs up front and it's still a little still . I don't feel it stiff on the street but when I offroad I feel like the front end jumps too much because of the stiffness instead of flexing :(.

Got mine from Wheeler's and yeah, the 886 can be a bit stiff on the Accesscab. I've been thinking about going Icons on the front.

I have the double cab and it's still stiff . I also feel like going with icon, kings or fox up front . I have no complaints about the rear ome shocks with the Dakar leaf pack .

Thanks everyone for the info. It seems that I am going to go with this lift for sure. OahuGrown88 Your truck looks great. That looks exactly like what I am wanting. I am going to get the front spacers though. I just want to make sure I don't have the front lower. I really like the level look. And I will check out that place you recommended too. Give Ben a call tomorrow.
