hey everyone, looking for some advice/suggestions on my new Tacoma. I just bought a 2017 and have started the modification process! I put 265/70r16 Duratracs on it a week ago. No rubbing at all. I also just installed a new ranch hand grill guard.

The ranch hand caused some minor sagging in the front. I believe it's about a 1/2". I still am not getting any rubbing. I did not want to lift this ruck because I plan to keep it for a very long time and didn't want to risk extra wear and tear on the new truck. I have lifted all my previous trucks. I thought I would be old and responsible and keep this stock. WRONG!!!

I want a small amount of lift to make the truck stand out, loose the ranch hand sag, and perform better off-road. I would like suggestions one what combination of parts to use for the old man EMU. I would in construction. I am off the road quite a bit but never doing anything extreme. I plan to get a bed rack and tent for camping. Basically camping and work ar going to be my time spent of the pavement. I want a good quality ride on and off road. Itching the old man emu is perfect, just need advice on parts. Which spring and shock would you recommend to achieve the full 2" lift, counter the sag from the ranch hand, and provide support for camping/construction activities? There are 3 different springs options. 2 different front shock options, and an additional leaf option. Do I use a soft shock and heavy spring? Or do I do a heavy shock and medium/light spring? Or both heavy spring and shock?

Let me know you guys suggestions! Thanks very much!

The OME 885 coil shows a lift of 1.5" for the '16 / '17 trucks in double cab 4wd configuration, OME 887 if you want to go to 2". With just the grill guard, I'd probably stay with the softer spring rates (ie, not the 886) unless you plan to add more weight up front. I just put a set of 885's on my '15 and with around ~120lbs extra up front and yielded 2.25", right in the ballpark of what the link below suggested I would.

Thanks man. That chart is helpful. I would like to get 2" on the front so 887s might be the way to go for mine
